It seems like just yesterday that Schedule 1 took the world by storm. This small indie game developed by a single person quickly took over Steam's charts back in March, and beat out games like Assassin's Creed Shadows. But what made Schedule 1 so popular? Was it Luck? Was it just because the game was that good? Or was it a mixture of both?
Truth be told it was a mixture of different things. Mostly it's popularity came to the virality it ended up achieving thanks to it's addictive gameplay loop. Streamers were recording themselves playing the game, driving traffic to it. But it was the gameplay that made gamers stick around.
The gameplay is simple yet addictive. It involves creating your own drugs by mixing various things together, As you sell your products and get new costumers you level up, which unlocks even more buildings for you to convert into those no good drug dens.
