It's another incredible day in the Garden of Eden, thus it is time for another incredible, sustainable feast!
We're big on nutritionally dense veggies around here, but we're also fans of classic comfort foods like PIZZA!!!
Today we had both pepperoni and spinach alfredo pizza and made sure to round out the yummy meal with steamed broccoli, fresh garden salad topped with homemade wine vinagrette and Himalayan salt, and sauteed butternut squash with red onions.
Broccoli is a cruciferous veggie bursting with super nutrients like vitamins B1 and B5, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, zinc, calcium, iron, and selenium.
We received a nice donation of butternut squash, so we made a quick and delicious sautee with red onions and rosemary! Rosemary is an incredible herb with super antimicrobial properties. It's also said to improve memories
And because we love them so much and we have so many of them, we had another big pan of MUSHROOMS!!! The sweet little children who live here lovingly call them "mushies", and they are a crowd favorite.
Per our high sustainable standards, we prepared everything over hand built rocket stoves we made ourselves and burned "trash" wood for fuel.

While it's fun to play in the mud, it's truly incredible to build fully functional kitchen appliances, equipment, and even structures out of it!!! Sustainability is AWESOME!!!
Food is important, and we hope to inspire people to really take time to eat, enjoy it, and share it with someone you love! We also hope to inspire more and more sustainable practices in regards to food.
Food is an integral and honored part of our reality, and it is a pleasure to provide for hungry people. If you would like to know more about our unique and super sustainable connection to our food cycle, please check out our previous post here.
