This is Eden!
Eden is a sweet and healthy 2-3 year old black lab. Former inhabitants of our ecovillage brought her here when she was a  sweet little puppy and raised her, but they abandoned her when they left. Unfortunately, that is all too common for us; in fact, every dog or cat that stays on our property is the former pet or child of a pet of an irresponsible owner who begged to bring their "family" to our ecovillage, but thought little of leaving them behind. That's the black cat, Matiko, passing below Eden's chin. 😄
Thankfully, life at the Garden of Eden is probably much better than the alternative for a happy dog like Eden. There is enough space at our property for the two large, active dogs and dozen+ cats that stay here, and Eden spends her days playing in the sunshine, wrestling with her son Atlas, chasing cats, digging, smelling, rolling in dirt, eating, and sleeping. She is a very friendly, very sensitive creature who loves to be around people.
