We are giving thanks for another day of freedom in the Garden of Eden!
For the full time volunteers that live here, we prepared a delicious, nutritious feast over our handmade earthen rocket stoves in our sustainable outdoor kitchen - today we're having breakfast for dinner!
We made a classic American breakfast for today's feast with not one but two preparations of our farm fresh eggs, fried potatoes, and thick cut bacon for our meat eaters.
We made a large platter of fried eggs with enough for everyone to have as much as they wanted.
We also prepared a flavorful egg scramble with onions and garlic!
Our sweet chickens are very generous.
Not only do our chickens bless us with lots of eggs for free, but they are delicious and highly nutritious! They have lots of protein and good cholesterol to build cell walls, as well as iron, vitamins, minerals, and carotenoids. Eggs are said to be especially beneficial for anyone recovering from mercury poisoning and/or repairing their brain.
We made plenty of hot, crispy, salty fried potatoes to have on the side of our eggs. Anyone who has been following our sustainable feast series knows we are serious about our potatoes!!
