How do we want to treat our minds. There are two ways:
Garbage bin
When we start keeping the negative feelings, we make out minds a garbage bin. Garbage is a place for filth. Negative thoughts and deeds are filth. Things like anger, hatred, malice, jealousy, gossip are filth of the mind. The only place for them is garbage bin. Now our mind is not a garbage bin.
Treasure box
Our mind is meant to keep only positive thoughts and feelings. It is beautiful. It is like a beautiful treasure box. We do not throw garbage in a treasure box. Instead we keep treasured things like gold, silver and precious gems. Keep the treasure box of your mind clean. Fill it only with beautiful thoughts and positive feelings.
Garbage bin's have to be emptied everyday to keep the surroundings healthy. Our minds need to be emptied of all the negative to keep it healthy. It is like a house. We do not keep it filthy. Instead we keep it clean and maintain it that way.
Follow a simple practice everyday. Before we end the day, review it. Take out any thought that will make our mind unhealthy. Once that is done, say positive things to yourself. Let the treasure box of your mind be full and overflowing with positive thoughts. When we start the day, let us start it with positive thoughts. During the day let us start speaking positive to all around us.
Our lives will immediately start transforming to something lovely and beautiful.
