My Val didn't start at 12am today. It started at about 2am today. I had a flat battery, so nothing else mattered than charging my phone and getting reconnected to the world. I am not at home, if I were, my family probably wouldn't have made me feel the fact that my battery was flat. My Valentine's Day probably would have started by 12am.
Fast forward to 2am. My phone was back on and my girlfriend came knocking on my door. I wasn't going to open until she told me she was the one. I was wondering, what would she be doing at my door at this dead of the night. I am didn't have the answers to these questions so I had to open the door to get the answers from her.
What are you doing in my room by this time, are you OK, were you too scared to sleep in your room? I went on and on, I kept on asking but I got no response. Instead what I got was this

I already knew where it was coming from. What else could I do by that time of the night when my heart was at its softest and every little bit of love could melt for love.
I practically melted. I blushed so well, despite being black, I bet you could see the pink color on my face.
I didn't blush because I got a car, I didn't blush because I got a key to a house. I blushed because a heart cared enough to send me a gift to make me smile all day😁.
It isn't about how big the gifts we receive are, it is about the heart that gave it to us.
My day didn't end that way, I got calls, SMS, Videos, GIFS etc.
I also went on a Val date with my friend.
Got some cold stone ice-cream, afterwards, we served ourselves to some African dish-Onugbo soup and the rest they say is history.
