Peniscola is one of the most beautiful towns of Spain. It is located in the Catalonia region close to Valencia. I started my journey from Barcelona and it took almost four hours to reach Peniscola. On both sides of the road there were beautiful scenieries until we reach Peniscola.
Peniscola is typical example of a town where there is balance between the old and new with its Castle and medieval walls. Most of the locals in the live in the old part of the town. Roads are narrow but it has panoramic view and the houses are maintained very beautifully.
Streets are lined with souvenir and gift shops
In the old town you will come across a Castle, a light house and a beautiful church
Peniscola is surrounded by sea . It is known for two beaches, Pebret and Norte, which are on other side of the old town.
The Castle has panoramic views of the coast. Peniscola hosts an annual comedy film festival which is attended by both local and foreign actors and film producers.
As per the tour itinerary we did not have stay in Peniscola and so we left for the next place after lunch.
