A couple of days ago Casa Team announced the launch of their Casa Node 2, an upgrade to the previous Casa Node.

Casa Node 2 is a plug & play device that makes running full bitcoin and lightning network node easy, without any need for coding skills.

Casa Node 2 comes with better hardware, it uses new Raspberry Pi4 with 4GB of RAM and 1TB SSD. This makes running a full node faster and smoother compared to the previous version. It comes with major updates to the software, all reworked and redesigned NodeOS. They have also added an ability to run the BTCPay server, which makes it easier to accept e-commerce payments in bitcoin.

Those who have bought the original Casa Node will get a $99 discount on this new version. They also will be running a $99 discount for orders made on October-November. After that, the price will be $399/year. It is important to note that this is an annual membership fee sold as a package and not a one-time payment for the device and services.
