Hi my dear Friends.... You might have heard about Bodhi Vriksha or Bodhi Tree. It is also called as Peepal or Ashwatha Tree, which I found in the compound of one of the ancient Temples, a Ganesha's Temple!!
Here are some pictures which I could click using my smartphone Honor, just now. The tree has grown very high, but I could capture the pics, standing on the 2nd floor of a opposite side building!!
This is a very old tree, and I think - may be several hundred years old! We can see a mention of these type of trees if we read the stories of Gautam Buddha and also in some other Mythological story books. May be because of the scientific reason that these trees produce or release higher amount of oxygen, it is believed to be a holy tree. Nowadays it has become a fashion to grow these Peepal trees in small pots as Bonsai..
