Is there anyone who dislikes to eat bit spicy stuff on a rainy day? Here in Mangalore it is the rainy season now and we love eating fried foods for our evening snacks!!
So here is a recipe for Breadfruit Bhajia or Pakodas or Phodi (People call it by different names)....
You all might have seen or at least heard about this fruit, which belongs to the Jackfruit family.... This is called Breadfruit!!
We use this fruit for making curries, dries, and Bhajias or Bhujia or Pakodas or Phodies. Everything tastes great.
Actually today's Bhajias are made by my husband, on last Sunday!. He loves cooking and making something special on Sundays... And it's my pleasure to enjoy his cooking along with Son !!.
I took these pics on Sunday, and I am posting this blog after three days!! :)
Are you curious how to make it? Then here is the recipe...
Clean and cut the fruit into thin slices, about 1/4" thick.
Make a paste using Gram flour (Chickpeas powder), Salt, Chilly powder, and a pinch of Asafoetida powder. Let this paste be thick like dosa batter. Dip and deep fry in pure Coconut oil.
Here frying in coconut oil is a must to get the typical South Indian taste!
So... Make this and get surprised to see... How the plate becomes empty in just 2 minutes!!.... :)
Friends... Please share your favorite recipes on this platform, so that I too can enjoy making and eating it....
