on the morning of the eclipse I skipped yoga to smoke weed and hula hoop in the wetlands beneath an ominous yet classic Northern California cloud cover. as I laid on the ground for a minute I felt the world around me go still and a cold wind swept through chilling my bones. the golden dry grass shivered in the breeze and there was not another person or animal in sight. totality.
