Bantry House Landscape
Continuing the Bantry House theme, here are some photographs of the gardens and landscape views from them.
The gardens were created by Richard White, 2nd Earl of Bantry but were neglected for about 40 years from the 1930’s through the 1970’s.
Restoration of them began in 1997.
The gardens consist of seven terraces and overlook Bantry Bay.
I like how the boats are captured between the trees in this photograph.
Facing East, the statue of Diana the Huntress greets you when you arrive.
