Hi all !
I decided to start posting about my favorite metal bands... Have a nice day !!
Iron maiden (http://ironmaiden.com/)
Iron Maiden was created on December 25, 1975 by bassist Steve Harris. In the early years, the composition of the band changed constantly. One of the Iron Maiden singers, Dennis Wulkick, brought to the band guitarist Dave Murray, who remained in the band until today. After constantly changing the positions of the second guitarist, drummer and singer, with the composition of Steve Harris on the bass, Dave Murray and Dennis Straton on guitars, Clay Bar on the drums and Paul Di Anno on the vocals, they signed in December 1979 , a contract with EMI records. Dave Mastein was dismissed by Metallica in 1983 because of his dependencies and violent behavior, but also because of his quarreling with Lars Ulrich. That same year, he formed Megadeth with guitarist Kerry King of Slayer taking part in some live appearances of the newly-formed band. Soon, Ra's position is taken by Gar Samuelson, while Masteine's friend Chris Polland takes on the second guitar. The search for a singer did not work, so Mastein took over the vocals of the band as well. The prevailing version of the band's name is that Mastein read in a newspaper about "one million deaths" (megadeath), and chose this word by subtracting it from a , while according to other versions the name was first song title . Metallica (https://www.metallica.com/)
Metallica was created in Los Angeles, California, in early 1981 when drummer Lars Ulrich introduced an ad to The Recycler, saying, "Dramer is looking for other metal musicians to jam with Tygers of Pan Tang, Diamond Head and Iron Maiden. Guitarists James Hetfield and Hug Tanner responded to the ad. Although he had not made a band yet, Ulrich asked Bryan Slagel, the founder of Metal Blade Records, if he could record a song that would be on the upcoming Metal Massacre CD. Slangel accepted, and Ulrich put Hetfield in the position of singer and rhythm guitarist. The band was officially formed in October 1981, six months after this first meeting.
Ulrich was the one who gave the name "Metallica" to the band. Later, he put another ad, again in The Recycler, for a leading guitarist. The soloist Dave Mastain replied, and when Hetfield and Ulrich saw his expensive equipment, they immediately put him in the band. In early 1982 they released their first song Hit the Lights for Metal Blade Records, "Metal Massacre I," and they played the track at their first live performance on March 14, 1982 at the " Radio City "in Anaheim, Calif. At this time the band consisted of Hitfield, Ulrich, Mastein, and Ron McGoverne who had been a bass player. More info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metallica
