Greetings my dear Hive friends, this week some friends asked me to teach them how to weave scarves on a little board that they had been given, when I saw it I saw that it was a rectangular loom, a few years ago in the Church they taught me to work on it and I felt the desire to learn and we sent to make our looms and I learned to work on the loom; at that time I wove a Christmas scarf that I gave to a dear friend who went to Brazil since I do not usually use it.
Al buscar mi telar no lo conseguí y como la mejor manera para mí de enseñar es por el ejemplo me propuse hacerme mi propio telar, así que puse manos a la obra para conseguir el material, recordé que en ese entonces el hermano que nos había hecho los telares le habían quedado algunos sin hacer y por suerte todavía le quedaba una tablita, ya tenía todo listo para hacer mi propio telar.
Materiales:
• Madera de Samán de 26 cm x 8,5 cm (14 cm son para el soporte se puede hacer de forma rectangular de 21 cm x 8,5 cm). En el centro lleva un agujero de 16 cm x 1,5 cm.
• 17 Remaches de un 1,6 cm de altura x 1 cm de agarre.
• Lápiz, cinta métrica y martillo.
When looking for my loom I did not get it and as the best way for me to teach is by example I set out to make my own loom, so I set to work to get the material, I remembered that at that time the brother who had made us the looms had left some unmade and luckily he still had a little board left, I had everything ready to make my own loom.
Materials:
- Saman wood of 26 cm x 8.5 cm (14 cm are for the support can >be made in a rectangular shape of 21 cm x 8.5 cm). In the >center there is a hole of 16 cm x 1.5 cm.
- 17 rivets of 1.6 cm height x 1 cm of grip.

Como lo hice:
- Primero marqué 5 mm a cada lado de los extremos del agujero y trazamos una línea recta, para mantener alineados lo mejor posible nuestras hileras de remaches para el telar.
How I did it:
- First I marked 5 mm on each side of the ends of the hole and we drew a straight line, to keep our rows of rivets for the loom aligned as best as possible.
Luego en el extremo inferior comenzamos marcando puntos de 1 cm de distancia entre cada uno desde donde inicia nuestro agujero finalizando a 0,5 cm del final del mismo.
Then at the lower end we started marking points 1 cm apart from each other from where our hole starts ending 0.5 cm from the end of the hole.
Posteriormente marcando en el extremo superior marcamos igual sólo que esta vez comenzamos marcando a 0,5 cm del inicio del agujero, dejando una pequeña inclinación entre ambas hileras, en el extremo opuesto a el soporte colocamos un remache extra allí nos servirá de guía o para ajustar el hilo al momento de tomar un descanso al tejer.
Then marking at the upper end we mark the same only this time we start marking 0.5 cm from the beginning of the hole, leaving a small inclination between both rows, at the opposite end to the support we place an extra rivet there it will serve as a guide or to adjust the thread when taking a break when weaving.
Después de haber marcado todos nuestros puntos de guía procedemos a clavar nuestros remaches en cada punto, hasta finalizar y así ya nuestro telar está finalizado.
After we have marked all our guide points we proceed to nail our rivets in each point, until the end and our loom is finished.
