Recently it is crazily hot in Hong Kong, around 35 degrees with strong sun during daytime. So my friend and I planned to have our first time paddleboarding here and chill in the water. However, I think we chose a wrong place for paddleboarding as the waves there were too strong and I barely could stand on the large board!
It's good to take some nice pictures before I fell down into the water thousands time afterwards.
I found this picture on Google and this is the real view from Big Wave Bay in Shek O.
My taiwanese friend Eva falls in love with paddleboaring and she has great talents in it. How come she never fell into the water?
If you ask me what are the interesting outdoor activities you can do except shopping and fine-dining in Hong Kong, I will tell you this water sport with reasonable prices is worth to try here:) It is so great to be alone on the board to look at the sky and mountains, and listen to the sounds around the nature. So peaceful! Next time I will try to do it in Vancouver!! It must be so awesome when you play paddleboarding around the beautiful island :)
Sometimes it's pretty good to leave the comfort zone we set for ourselves and try something new and take some challenges in our life. Then you will have some more realizations for your life and at least we can know more about ourselves :)
Enjoy the time with yourself and listen to what your heart says.
