This is my workout track at Branham High School which is right down the street. This afternoon was around 73* in San Jose, great weather for a jog.
The jog was only 2 miles as I felt a bit out of shape. I was going to go for a bike ride, but was playing on the Steemit poker league site from 1pm to 4:30pm and came in 4th place for 4 SBD's.
Here is the GPS data collected from the Strava site:
Here is my jogging stuff: A garmin vivoactive HR (between the water bottle and shoe), Wahoo fitness HRM, garmin cadence sensor (attached to front shoe laces), Brooks Ghost 7 shoes, Oakly Radar glasses w/persimmon lens, running cap & water!
Here is what the Garmin Connect phone app looks like for your day's activity.
Here is the same data as above from the Strava site, but from the Garmin app. (also available to view from the Garmin Connect website) It's nice to see the data regarding pace, heart rate and cadence as you can easily see if your progressing or where you can improve.
Your pace
Heart rate and Cadence
Elevation and HR zones
I've done a few posts regarding the Garmin Vivoactive HR and would highly recommend the watch if you want to track your activities, steps taken per day, heart rate, sleep. With the GPS, it can track your hikes, walks, jogs, bike rides, swimming.
It is $200 and if you spread that over 3 years, it's about $67 dollars per year. Not bad and you don't even have to pay monthly gym fees!
