I've finished my Bachelor in Elementary Education last 2010 in Negros Oriental State University. I've experienced teaching for almost for years in Little Village Educational Foundation Inc. as Music teacher.I also do have part time jobs in some local universities as a Pianist and assistant choir drill master.I also do freelancing teaching as a Private Music Tutoring (home based lessons) with my students.
In the year 2014-2015,i had given this opportunity to teach in the university(my Alma Mater) about Choral Teaching and i became the Choir Musical Director in the said NORSU BSC Choristers. We joined in some contests, and invited to play in wedding gigs and some special occasions too. That was a year full of laughter, fun and full of memories.
My Music journey continues when i decided to apply as an Elementary Teacher in the Public School in the Division of Dumaguete in June 2015.I taught different kinds of children who want to learn musical instruments and i have been training them how to play well and molding them. I've also experienced teaching in the Visually impaired class which for me,a very challenging and memorable one.
There was a shift of employment in the year 2017 as a joined Online Freelancing World. My father also diagnosed in cancer stage 4 in his Left Eye Orbital mass.I was so down and so depressed that time.It feels like i'm singing a sad song and playing a guitar with broken strings. I've decided to quit full-time teaching and served my father during his last few months in the world. There's no other way to pay him back the things he shared me with his skills in singing beautiful songs and he was my first music mentor in voice and guitar.I can still remember the first three basic chords he taught me (Em-C-D) and he taught me the first song called "Anak"popularized by Freddie Aguilar,a famous songwriter/composer in the Philippines.During his moment of agony, the only thing that i can connect with him is through Music. What i did was, when he's lonely,i secretly go in his room and sing him his favorite songs like "Honesty"by Billy Joel ,"My Love Will See You Through"popularized by Marco Sison and"Kastilyong Buhangin"popularized by Basil Valdez. He will just smile but the smiles has a deeper meaning on it.My father is my Principal and my Music Guru. He's my inspiration. He died in August 2017.May he rest in peace.
Currently,i'm an Full- time Online Freelancer for almost 1 year and 3 months now.I savor the life of being a Freelancer.I'm my own boss.:) I work anytime, anywhere and i can sleep whenever i want...A working Nomad...A fulltime father with my two kids and faithful husband to my wife.:)
I still do teaching offline music lessons(home based)in piano, guitar, violin, and voice during my spare time.Music is my passion and i also do it as my profession.Music is me. Music forever lives in my heart!
