Greetings everyone, this is a summary of what I learnt on Day 4 Indoctrination Meeting via Zoom.
Our topic was 'PRAYER'. What is prayer?
Prayer is the act of making our request and petitions known to God.
According to the book of
Mark 11:24 KJV Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
The Bible makes us to understand that whatsoever things we desire, when we pray we should believe that we have received them and we shall have them. As Christians, we should always trust and believe that God hears us whenever we pray to him.
Most people pray only when they are in problems or suffering from one ailment of the other. This should not be our attitude towards prayer as believers as the book of 1 Thessalonians 5: 17 KJV Pray without ceasing.- made us understand.
I also learnt that the prayer of the wicked is an abomination unto God as can be seen in 1 Peter 3:12 KJV For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, And his ears are open unto their prayers: But the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
We have to remove all form of bitterness, wrath, anger, malice in us before praying so as to avoid hinderance to our prayers. Ephesians 4:31 KJV Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.
