We still smoke meat with the dirt cheap smoker I've shown in this video.
I made another batch of smoked meats to preserve it. The smoke dries out the meat and the phenols in the smoke have antibacterial properties. The smoky flavour this time was made from apple wood. I always lay special wood separate because in my area it's mostly pine. Pine sadly enough gives an awfull flavour to the meat.
My girlfriend and the dog loves meat so I made her happy lol!
