In 8-12 weeks recreational marijuana will finally be legal in Canada.
High Five! 🤚
The Senate voted 52-29 in favor of bill C-45 after some wrangling back and forth on small issues it's official, the prohibition on marijauna is dying.
What this means for Canadians is now you won't be breaking the law by smoking or ingesting cannabis, it's sale will be controlled but legal and it's about time.
Everyone knows marijauna is less harmful than alcohol, the majority of it's users are law abiding citizens that use it just to relax. The government is trying to kill the 10 billion dollar black market and harness the windfall of tax revenue this new bill will create aswell.
The best part of all this is now Canadian researchers can take the fore front in studying its effects and producing drugs that will literally save people's lives. For too long the world's most powerful plant was basically off limits but that's all changing now thanks to bill C-45.
In my province the NSLC, which is an alcohol distributer will be tasked with it's sale. Now I can go-to the liqour store and buy my pot aswell. How convenient is that?!
No more hanging out with sketchy drug dealers or waiting around all day to score a lil smoke!
I'm proud of my country today 😎👍
