Just got home from work and super stoked to show you a new addition I got this morning!
Warning: it's so small you may need to squint
Actually pinch and zoom on this lil diddy for a better peek if you want?.. It's in super condition!
This is a 1963 Peru 5 soles gold coin. The obverse features a Seated Lady Liberty with a shield and coat of arms. The sun appears hence the coins name
It's composed of 90% gold 10% copper
A whopping total 2.3404 grams of gold
These ran from 1956-69 and have tiny mintages relative to other world coins from this era. The 1963 had a total of 3,945 produced that year
I love the reverse with the coat of arms, it's got so much going on in the design.
I actually like both sides of this coin and that's rare, usually I have a favorite but this one they're both so cool 👍😎
Now I can cross Peru of the list and move on to a different country. Thx for checking out my new piece and I hope you have a great night!
