I even went so far as to shave the carrots for ease of eating for my feathered friends (okay, maybe, the title of this should be something more along the lines of I am the Strangest Chicken Mom Ever)

OMGosh! When I had chickens I would do almost the same thing! I NEVER went out to the coop empty-handed.If I did I felt like they were being neglected!
