The storm before last took a large limb off the magnolia tree. It tore a lot of bark off too.
I was looking out the south window on Monday evening and noticed the magnolia was flowering again.
Most of the buds seemed to be on the side that had lost the limb. It’s become almost a normal thing in the last few years for this magnolia to flower twice a year.
On Tuesday morning I didn’t get out until nearly 6AM but I did manage to finish the mulching of Row 5 by 7:30. I got started mowing and had that finished by 9:45 but not before a downpour caught me at 9:30. It really couldn’t have waited 15 more minutes???
On Wednesday my intern will be here and it’s to be a very hot humid day. We plan to do errands. I plan to pick the 4th harvest of sugar pod peas and we will process them when we get back.
