We’ve had the chicks 3 weeks yesterday. They are still adolescents, but have grown longer tails and wings. We drop the temperature to 75F under the heat plates and around 70F in the room today.
On Wednesday we introduced grit and small bits of greenery. We sifted the river grit to get very small stones for them. They clean that tray out every day.
They love their organic feed and the grit tray. The thermometer stand makes a good perch too.
And we have wings and practice flying all the time.
By this time next week, they will be in the gawky teenager stage.
