Althought the core of my gold collection is built around gold 1 Oz Chinese Panda coins and alike I also have fractional gold coins (i.e. weight being a fraction of 1 Oz ).
Examples of european fractionals that are available at prices close to spot (+2%) are the 10 guilders; Marianne Rooster; UK sovereigns and German 20 Mark and other "Latin Union" coins.
Most of these are circulated coins (~1875-1950) but there are uncirculated ones carrying a little of a premium. Circulation coins have copper added to the gold to make them a little harder. They all have a little below 0,2 troy Oz gold content.
