There wasn't anything wrong with my other condo - which by the way I am still paying for, but when the news got passed down that we are all basically going to be under house arrest and not allowed to even exit our buildings for any reason, I thought that my other condo, which was perfectly adequate, wasn't as nice as I would like it to be. So Nadi and I packed up our stuff and moved to a different condo for the week.
This place is actually a bit smaller than our old spot, but it does have a pool and a gym and also the added benefit of having a few of my friends also live here so we can get together for dinner or drinks or whatever.
This is the main reason for the move, even though the water in the pool, thanks to poor tiling choices, is actallly very warm for most of the day. It's still a nice option to have though and now I can finally work on my tan. I'm just kidding, I don't work on a tan. Does anyone do that anymore? Mostly I stay in the shade.
Technically, Nadi is not allowed up there but I bring her up there anyway. She doesn't bother anyone and if someone complains I will take her downstairs but I think you would have to be a pretty heartless bastard for my dog to get on your nerves since she probably won't even approach you unless you ask her to and is extremely chill.
I didn't realize it at the time, but a major part of why this places is so much better than my old spot is the bed. It has a pillow top mattress and it is just glorious. I started having minor back problems in my 40's and this probably comes from bad posture in chairs and well, probably mostly because i am in my 40's. I haven't felt like my back hurts in the mornings ever since getting onto this new bed and that makes the change all the more worthwhile.
The downside is that this place costs nearly double what my other spot does but desperate times call for desperate measures.
Today is now day 3 of not being allowed to go outside for any reason at all and with all the shops being closed, there isn't much reason to try. I do still intend to take nadi for walks, but only really short ones. I'll keep you updated since it gives me something to do.
