As I mentioned when I originally
shared this tune, I wasn't too happy with the levels, since we have so many bass tracks working in tandem, it drowned out the kick drum. So, I went through and added some sidechained compression to help the kick cut through a little more, and also EQ'd the kick to try and help it pop a bit more. The drums are overdriven here, so they definitely still blend in with all the distorted bass effects, but it works better now than it did before I re-worked anything.

I think I am going to go back in
and add a second kick drum tone that isn't overdriven, but is just subby and heavy, so you will really be able to feel it. The current kick has a nice tone, but it's a little hollow in the full mix, so I think doubling it with something else would make things perfect. I also went through and adjusted the general levels throughout the song, as I felt some stuff wasn't blended well enough.

I still don't love the tone
of the guitar/synth parts in Group 10, but I don't currently have a way to input an actual guitar as my audio interface crapped out, so I will leave these two tracks in so as to get the general idea across. When I add real guitar, I will make sure to do another update, as I think that will really make this song a lot more interesting.
