To notice the small things, to look into the finest of detail, to see from the perspective of a bee or a beetle.
When you do that the world around you truly grows. It's surprising how much we miss in our busy daily lives, and the reward for stopping and taking notice is a little dose of true happiness.
This is a ladybird nestling in the unopened bud of a Mammoth Sunflower. This ladybird was a sight for sore eyes as she appeared in the first season of my new garden while i was struggling with pest control and had been trying desperately to attract the good insects to help with the problem (i don't use any chemicals). I still remember the joy she gave me.
