The afternoon always has its own way of bringing tranquility. After a morning of activities, I chose to spend some time on the small road that winds through the village's rice fields. The air felt cool as the sky began to fill with overcast clouds, while a gentle breeze carried the distinctive scent of freshly harvested straw.
Along the road, I saw several residents stopped on their motorbikes. Some were chatting casually, while others were enjoying the rice paddy scenery while observing the farmers' activities in the distance. This scene may seem simple, but that's where its beauty lies. There's no city bustle, just the sounds of nature and warm conversations among people.
The expanse of yellowing rice paddies signaled the arrival of harvest season.
Some areas had even been mowed, leaving behind a trail of neatly arranged straw. The overcast sky above the rice paddies made the atmosphere even more dramatic and calming. Even though the sun wasn't clearly visible, the afternoon light still provided a beautiful atmosphere that's hard to describe.
For me, moments like this represent a simple form of happiness. Sitting relaxed on the side of the village road while enjoying the natural scenery can soothe the fatigue of a long day of activities. Sometimes we don't need to go far to find peace, because the best atmosphere is often found close to everyday life.
