Sndbox Summer Camp
We’re glad to announce that the first Quest of the Sndbox Summer Camp was a complete success and we’re proud to bring you the next quest of this series of challenges that might get you a place in our Summer Camp and eventually into @Sndbox. In case you’re new and don’t know what this is, feel free to read more about our project on here and here.
As you can read from ’s introduction post to the quest, this time we’re focusing on Photography and Filmmaking since we have there are many communities built around these subjects and many people passionate about them.

If for the first quest all the tasks were the same for each theme, this time they are a bit different since we’re raising the difficulty.
Special thanks to @Sndbox,
, and
for giving us the opportunity to do this.
Rules
Photography
Task One: Make a post about your journey
As in the first quest, you will have to make an in-depth post talking about your journey in the world of Photography, how you started, when you started, why you started, you get the idea, be as creative as possible.
Task Two: Make a Video
To see who’s ready to commit and involve in something as big as @Sndbox, we come up with this task to get you out of your comfort zone so you can prove how much you want in. I must say, that this task made a significant difference when we picked the people from the first quest so make sure to give out your best even if it’s your first time recording something and try to make it as good as possible.
You will have to record yourself in a crowded place, a photography gallery may be, and to tell us why you want to be part of @Sndbox, what you are going to do once you’re in, your goals, visions and the projects you have in mind.
Task Three: Take Some Shots
We consulted with professional photographers from Sndbox, and we came up with some shots that are a bit harder but also accessible to anyone that has a camera and some ambition. The eight topics are as follow Multiple Exposure, Light Trails, Flat Lay, Street Photography, 3D Stereoscopic Photography, Portraits, Macro Photography, High-Speed Photography.
You will have to take five out of these eight shots and to create a post about each one of them where you’re talking about how you managed to get the picture, and the technique you used, the recommended minimum of words is 200 for each post. Also, you will have to mention the specifications of your camera. Keep in mind that the competition might be high so to have better chances, try to aim for eight out of eight shots.
Filmmaking
Since filmmaking requires more time than photography, we stick to only two tasks for this one.
Task One: Make a video/written post
You will either have to make a recording of yourself or a written post; it’s up to you, where you’re talking about your journey into filmmaking and also why you want to be part of @Sndbox. Kind of the tasks one and two from Photography combined into one task in a video or written format.
Task Two: Record a ShortFilm
You will have to record a short film on any topic you please with a minimum length of four minutes. Also, you have to say that it’s for the Summer Camp at the beginning of the film, so we make sure it's yours. Be creative with your movie, we will give bonus points for that and in case you want to see what we have in mind, check out the NOWNESS youtube channel for some ideas.
It has to be filmed with a proper camera, and you have to mention all the specifications.
Common Tasks
Make a compilation post
You will also have to create a compilation post where you include all the tasks mentioned above, so we don’t miss any of them. Make sure to use the tag #sndboxquest for the tasks and the tag #sndboxsummercamp for the final compilation post but do not use both in one post.
For your posts use the title Sndbox Summer Camp Photography/Filmmaking - Task X.
If any of the recorded content is in another language, you have to use English subtitles. All the content must be original and made special for the Sndbox Summer Camp, the reuse of older content is prohibited.
In case you have any questions make sure to ask us down below because and I will try to reply as many as possible.
