I had a nice encounter with another photographer during my sunrise mission! Its always nice to talk to another early bird!
And if they are there you also can use them as a model 😅
I didn't saw the opening in this part of the reed so i was very thankful that she went there! And as a thank you i made some pictures of here!
This part of the Netherlands is called Botshol! It's a nature reserve very close to Amsterdam and close to the village of Vinkeveen where I was born! We used to go here every other weekend in summer to help maintain this area. Cutting trees, help collect the reed that is used as roofing material! Old farms often have reeds on the roof! it is an old technique that is still used in the Netherlands. I don't have pictures of it myself and there is no English Wikipedia page of it but here you see the Dutch Wikipedia! You can see how that looks. Are there roofs made out of reed in your country? This technique is century's old and was used because of the cost! Back then it was very cheap and they didn't have many other stuff to build roofs of! Nowadays they use it on houses that are very expansive!
But back to the sunrise! Here are more pictures of that morning! I know the clouds would come that morning and my calculation was that they would arrive just after sunrise! As you can see in the left lower corner of this picture the thick clouds in the distance! Lucky I was that they got this nice color while they came overhead! But they where still above the farmland behind me! I wanted to have them in front of me above the water in the direction of the sunrise!
And they just did that! I couldn't have a nice reflection shot of the clouds in the water but I was happy with this!
Always take a good look around you if you are standing somewhere, that because of the colors could be everywhere :p Just as here wright above this little farm!
Just a couple of minutes after this sunrise that clouds completely covered the sky and not long after it started to rain! But then I already was sitting in my van, drinking coffee!
I just found a picture of my own with a farm that hase got a roof of reed!
Not verry clear but its there :p
