According to the Islamic calendar, the festival of Bakrid is celebrated on the tenth day of the 12th month of Ju-al-Hajjah. The Eid that falls after the fasting of Ramadan is known as Mithi Eid, while Bakrid is known as the Eid of Qurbani. In Islamic tradition it is known as Eid-ul-Azha. According to the Islamic calendar, this year the festival of Bakrid is being celebrated on 17 June 2024 i.e. today.
According to the Islamic tradition, it is considered very important to follow some rules before offering Qurbani on the day of Bakrid. Let us know in detail about these rules to be followed before Farz-e-Qurbani.

When Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam, who is considered to be the Messenger of Allah according to Islamic belief, had a dream of sacrificing his son for the sake of Allah, he told this to his son. Hearing this, his sons immediately agreed, considering it as God's will. It is believed that God was testing his messenger Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam through this sacrifice. It is believed that when Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam went to sacrifice his son, Satan tried to divert his mind, but he did not waver at all and he completed the process of sacrifice with a blindfold. It is believed that when Abraham was sacrificing his son, God removed his son and replaced him with a dumbass. In Islam, the tradition of offering sacrifice on Bakrid has been going on since then.
What are the rules of Qurbani on Bakrid
According to Islamic tradition, after the sighting of the moon of Ju-al-Hajjah, the person who has to perform Qurbani, should not cut the hair or nails of any part of his body. In such a situation, after the sighting of the moon in India, those who offer Qurbani should follow this rule for 10 days. Those who do not have to sacrifice, those people can also follow this rule completely to get reward.
According to Islamic belief, on Bakrid festival, which is celebrated for three days, it is considered necessary for a person to take a bath before offering Qurbani and after that to perform Namaz after wearing clean clothes.
A crippled or sick animal or an animal whose horn is broken cannot be sacrificed on Bakrid.
After the sacrifice, one should give the portion of the goat to the poor and keep it for oneself.
