When I joined Steemit, I often used to upvote my posts promptly upon posting.
You can ask me;
Why?
Here is my answer;
Actually, my wish is to grant more curation rewards to the posts of those people who upvote my posts regularly.
There has been much more discussion about rising the 75/25 division of author/curation rewards, or it is better to allow authors to select curation reward to allot for their posts. When I can't make rewards more than 25 percent of my published post which go to curators, I at least do what I can to make certain that not much less than 25 percent of my post rewards to go curators.
Inverse Auction System
The people among you who know the curation system they also know that there is; What is known as an inverse/reverse auction system for the first 30 minutes of a content being posted on steemit. It means that the votes that are received within 30 minutes of the post being published, will cease the portion of their curation rewards to the post author.
If a high amount of a post’s total rewards is received within first 30 minutes so more than 75% of the rewards go to the author and less than 25% of the rewards go to curators. Therefore if I advance my comparatively significant (~$1) vote promptly, then all of my curation rewards will be author rewards.
It is not important to me directly as I am also an author, but since curation rewards are weighted by the order and value of votes that everyone else voting on my posts will receive my relatively large vote first lowering the curation rewards.
More Curation Benefits for Everyone
This is precisely contrary to what I want.
More rewards for curators should motivate more people to upvote my posts and more upvotes will make more author rewards, so it is an actual earn-earn.
So you have it there. I would not upvote this post for a day or two, and I suggest other people, they must wait to upvote their posts as well, especially those who have a tremendous amount of SP. So authors are free to upvote their own posts, but I think that waiting to do so will be profitable both for the author and the community as well.
My outstanding readers:
Come on! Get in and catch regular curation rewards with this feeling that this post gives value your vote, of course. Wait for 30 minutes after publishing this post then your well worth curation rewards rightly go to you but not to me.
How much profit can You earn?
What my posts generally earn, you can see on my blog. I would be paying SBDs to promote this post and coming posts as well by using some profitable voting bots. Now you can be confident that your posts will get a worthy amount of curation rewards to revolve.
