Traveling is such a blessing. Traveling to see the nature's best gifts to us is a pleasure. Traveling to amazing destinations with friends is icing on the cake. I wish to travel more and more. There's solace, and serenity, in seeing nature face to face. There's healing in being away from the busy life of professions and businesses and close to where there is no noise.
You must be wondering which country, and what place, it is. It's Pakistan. The northern part of Pakistan is home to seven of the world's highest peaks, with K-2 at number two; behind only to Mount Everest in Nepal. I am not at the K-2 though. That's not my game. But thousands of mountaineers come to Pakistan every year to scale the likes of K-2 and Nanga Parbat.
The place we friends visited is called Naran Kaghan. These are two separate places, Naran Valley and Kaghan Valley, but due to close proximity and being part of a single tour, both are named together.
I always wanted to go to these places but life did not give an opportunity. We friends decided to go this winter and I had no reason to say no. Let me share a few moments from the amazing journey.
You can see me in the long boots enjoying the true pleasures of nature.
And an epic view from the valley. A valley full of white snow.
And an extraordinary scene from the most amazing place I have ever visited.
Lakes there were near freezing point. We could see the cold water struggling against the temperatures.
My friends enjoyed the journey a lot. They were mesmerized by the beauty of Lake Saif ul Mulook and wanted to take pictures with the lake in the background.
The mix of peaks, lake and snow in the same scene made it a unique experience for all of us. We enjoyed a lot and I am sure that you wish to be here and enjoy too.
And a happy me enjoying the presence of my soul right in the heart of a place where nature exhibited itself in magnificent ways to instill peace and serenity.
