The teaching of faith is so paramount in that your quality in Christianity is proportional to your faith, as a Christian we live a life of faith. One can't over emphasised on the subject of faith, some feel that faith as per it's relation on messages in churches this days is too accentuated but one thing you should know is that faith can't be too much.
You can build a strong relationship with God through faith and not all Christian knows about this significant truth. The world we live in is more of spiritual than physical and this I made know to us in my previous article, the fight of faith is based on spiritual battles and not a battle of physical antagonist.
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
The biggest truth is that your victory has already being made through the death of Jesus Christ, God has played is part on your victory and has left for you as per your faith because as a Christian you have to work in building your faith with solid foundation, the devil isn't your amigo rather your greatest adversary and all he does is to fight against your faith. If you are living a life of faith, this will place the devil in a dangerous zone and the fact that God has exalted you legally, he still expect you to claim this legalisation through faith.
Simon Peter had the devil coming after him and Jesus knew fully well about this so he told Simon Peter about it, Jesus had to pray that Peter 's doesn't fail but you might want to ask why did Jesus pray that the temptation absconded Peter or stop the devil from coming after Peter, the point is that temptation will always come and this I made know to us in my previous article Day 25: Christianity As a Battle Ring because that's the job of Satan, to come fight against our faith through temptation for if he doesn't, who will?
Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
The only way for your adversary the devil to defeat you, is through faith and this the devil sees as every Christian's weakness because the weaker your faith, the closer the devil's victory. So it's of preeminent act for all parishioners(Christians) to stop him with a shield of faith.
