Here are some pics from this morning’s outdoor adventure. Lots of photos because I couldn’t get the littles to slow down enough to get some #sketching in. 🤣
We spent most of the day weeding the garden... it had gotten away from us when we were planting our crops and getting the cows in for branding, but we are slowly reclaiming it. My lettuce and nasturtiums are doing very well and we’ve been eating a lot of salads. Everything is behind, this year. We got a full extra month out of our spring pasture, and the garden is at least three weeks behind on germination and growth... but slowly, slowly, the harvest is coming in.
Homeschool is going alright with the boys. We are just letting them go at their pace and they are learning and picking things up like little sponges and it amazes me how unregimented their learning is. 😳 As a kid, I was so heavily indoctrinated in the “school system,” that it is a continuous marvel how much they are learning (and how lazy I feel at being “teacher”) just by talking about the thing we are doing and experiencing. 💕
I am cycling through sketchbooks, lol. I just can’t seem to decide what is a good fit for me and where I want to go, artistically... 😛 #artistproblems
