I grew up in a place that was beautiful to look at, and to walk through.
I grew up in a place were you could see the progression of its history in the buildings from ancient to new.
I grew up in a place were you could see the rise and fall of multiple culture in the architecture.
I grew up in a place were multiple current cultures mixed.
I grew up in a place were the people were educated, open minded, with actual life experience, who would have real conversations.
Unfortunately I grew up with out citizenship. After years of trying and failing at getting a work visa, the immigration system caught up to me. I now find myself in the country I was born in but have no memories of, america. Everything, and everybody I have ever known and cared about, gone to the other side of the planet.
america is the most stifling, ugly, uninteresting, soul smothering place I can possibly imaging.
America is row after row of identical, cheap, temporary, ugly, plywood boxes.
Americans have no history, and everything is plastic and disposable.
America is a self isolating, monoculture filled with closed minded, narrow minded, simplistic, absolutest group thinkers. The worst thing in america is not having a group image to artificially gain a personality from.
Americans can not see outside the 4-5 simplistic stereotypes drilled into them from their sheltered adolescents. They tell you what you think, because of what kind you are. Period end of discussion, or else how dare you.
Americans single out anything that stands out from their group think and make it stop by turning their group against the individual, until that individual conforms back into what it supposed to be.
I don’t think I have had a real conversation since I arrived in the bland, boring, mind numbing, monoculture, filled with arrogant, pampered, uneducated, inexperience, phony, self praising, spoiled brats.
Their banality is smothering my soul.
This country is turning me into a stupid american.
