Hello my friends, #education lovers and #hive family!
I hope you’re all doing well… finally it is Saturday, the end of the week when we all get good rest, only a few people get to work on Saturdays like the traders and market people for example.
For many of us we have been dreaming about today since the beginning of the week that’s why I Sm teaching us something unique.
Today’s word is RÊVER.RÊVER is a very important word because It means “to dream”.
Simple word but very deep when you think about it, like I said earlier we all dream about a new car , good wife, good and loving family, a nice paying job and so on and so forth and also me in particular, I’ve been dreaming about today which is Saturday = the weekend so I can rest properly.
I love RÊVER so much because dreaming is not just what happens when you sleep, it’s also what happens when you imagine a different life and situation for yourself.
The Pronunciation is very soft unlike some other French words like reh-vay.
But I want you guys to observe and notice something special about the word RÊVER it has a special sign on the letter E and that sign is called the accent chapeau. Free lesson: chapeau means cap in French 👒 or hat.
So literally the letter E has a cap.
Take a look at these few examples to also understand the conjugation pattern.
Je rêve = I dream
Je veux rêver = I want to dream
J’ai une rêver = I have a dream,
Just like Martin Luther king.
J’ai means I have.
French words like this carry emotion like I always say, French is an amazing and romantic language. When you say rêver, it feels a bit more poetic than just “dream”.
Thank you 🙏 for stopping by,
SAINT HEROD.
