The Zoo in Amsterdam is the fifth oldest in the World! Located right downtown a must see when you are in Amsterdam.
I love to go to the Zoo, every time I travel somewhere I make sure I visit the local Zoo. I don’t know why I love it so much, I don’t like the fact that animals are held in captivity but I just find it super interesting to learn more about all the different animals on our planet.
When I was younger my parents took me to the Zoo all the time, and when I was studying in Amsterdam I could visit the Zoo for $2,50.
Today I decided to buy a membership so I can go whenever I want.
Just a few weeks ago the lions showed that they are real predators even when they are in a Zoo.
Just watch the video

What I like most about Artis the Royal Zoo is that it’s a very informative Zoo with a lot an information about the animals, great staff that host presentations and feed the animals while explaining about them. That really makes a visit to the Zoo worth it
Some great information about their habits, habitat and some other facts about the animals
Also some great personal presentations about the animals
The people just love it
Where is he? We always start at 03:45 PM, and where is my fish?
That’s more like it now throw my fish!!
That’s more like it thanks, I am on my way…..
The Zoo is just so much fun to be at just look at all the animals:
As mentioned the Zoo is right downtown, I took this picture from inside the Zoo, so there are some people in Amsterdam with a very nice view.
Really liked my visit as always, hope to see you there one day!
Soon I will post more about Amsterdam so we both can discover the city and you know where to go when you are here!
