The All-star game is getting close and most players you expect to be on the team are on the team. Tonight the NBA All-star reserves will be announced, time for Haas Picks to give you my suggestions.
Here is my list with the players I want to see!
Victor Oladipo
He is athletic and is a great basketball player but always been the side kick or at least not the first option of the offense. I really liked his play when he was playing for the OKC last season and was really curious how he would show himself at the Pacers.
Miles turner was ready to be the face of the franchise, but Victor is really showing it.
Why I think he should be an All-star? He is putting up numbers similar to DeMar DeRozan and Kyrie Irving! So that should be enough to make it to the team. Not convinced? Indiana is +7,4 with Oladipo on the floor and -6,9 without him in the game.
So to me his is not only an All-star but also the most improved player. Carrying his team to the play-offs.
Bradley Beal
Beal is in the NBA now for 5years and never made it to the All-star game, will he make it to Los Angeles this year? I will give him the benefit of the doubt this year and say yes!
Washington is one of the elite teams in the East now for a few years and even thought the Sixers, Heat and Bucks would like to be in there spot the Wizards are still in the top four if you ask me. So why could the Wizards not send two All-stars?
I normally would love to see Lowry there (GO Raptors!) but I think this year Beal is more impressive.
Scoring 23.8, with 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 should get you there!
Tobias Harris
Gary Harris? Devin Harris? Harrison Barnes? Close I am looking for Tobias Harris!
Detroit is challenging Indiana the Sixers and The Bucks to be in the Play-offs. I really would love to see how all this plays out until the play-offs start.
One thing I know for sure Stan Van Gundy loves Tobias Harris and Harris is playing great for his coach. Will it be enough to be an All-star? Maybe not with the fan votes, but I think the players and coaches respect what he is doing. So who knows! I voted for him, if that helps?
His stats are 18 points per game and adding 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
Lou Williams
LOU! LOU! LOU! I just love what he is doing, the Clippers missed so many players due to injury and therefore had so many line-up changes, luckily there was one constant factor LOU!
He won the sixth men of the year award before and was always a great scorer, but this is the first time he is really carrying the team, waiting for all his teammates to return from injury. The Clippers might be able to make it to the play-offs because Williams oversaw the ship until now.
Lou Williams made it to my weekly list multiple times with great scoring performances like 50+ and 40+ so if you want to see the best players of the moment in the All-star game, Williams should be in there!
Clint Capela
Remember when the Hawks had 4 All-star when they had the best record in the NBA. Sure Harden and Paul are great but you need more to be really successful, the Rockets can really challenge to Warriors in the West and if you ask me should have multiple All-stars this year.
Capela improves every year and by now he is averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds a game in 26 minutes.
So why not?
I don’t believe the players will be All-stars this year, so there will be no Basketball justice but some of these players really deserve to be part of the game this year!
Let’s see who makes it to the list.
