Welcome back to the list with the best destinations for October. As always I present a list with destination to travel to per month to have great experiences. Today we will go from Tanzania to Canada! Hope you like the ride.
Safari in Ngorongoro Tanzania
This might well be the best spot to see wildlife in the whole world! Located on the Serengeti Plain, the Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest. Accessing the cater during the wet season is impossible but in the dry season (July to October) there are 120 km of roads to explore.
The crater is believed to have the highest density of predators in Africa.
“how surreal does it look! “
“just stunning, the ideal date night just there”
As mentioned it’s the ideal spot to see wildlife. Lions, hyenas, cheetahs, leopards and even black rhinos! Would just love to visit that place.
“just like you are watching planet Earth by the BBC”
Cycle the most dangerous road
For the people that are in South America or still want to visit this continent and are outgoing, its time for you to cycle the most dangerous road!
The Yungas Highway between La Paz and the town of Coroico is super dangerous its just 3,2 meters wide with over 1000 meter drops. No wonder every year on average 30 vehicles disappear over the edge. Bike hire is available in La Paz, so enjoy and have fun! Just make sure to watch those edges and drunk drivers!
The best time a year to try your luck on this dangerous road is from May to October, can we count you in?
“just so you know where to go”
“still brave enough?’
“make sure to hold the wheel”
“really this is just mad!”
Observe huge herds of buffalo
So for the one’s that survived the most dangerous road it’s time to enjoy more wildlife. And for the people that visited the Crater in Tanzania it’s time for one more spot.
“the Masai Mare National Reserve”
Why should you go there?
Buffalos begin the gather in large herds during the rainy season after mid-October. Not convinced yet? Just look at this picture.
“survival of the fittest”
“so intense”
Get close to polar bears
And for everybody who can’t make it to Africa, there is just another great alternative, getting close with polar bears.
I was living in Canada for a year and a half and absolutely enjoyed my time there it’s such a diverse country, even though I see myself as a city person (GO Toronto!) the natural beauty of Canada in unmatched.
If you are in Canada from mid- October onwards for six weeks you have the chance to see over 1000! Polar bears, where else in the world do you have a chance to see this?
“is all happens in Churchill at the Hudson Bay”
Make sure you bring warm clothing, I visited Winnipeg twice during winter and trust me it gets cold!
“how great is this!”
“who is watching who?”
Hope you liked this posts about the best destinations to go in October, maybe a little too much focus on wildlife, will look into part 3 for you soon.
Any of you went to one of these beautiful places?
