My Grade 7 students are one of the sweetest students I have undergone and they are the ones most clingy and most sweet.
The class is already coming to an end and we have already parted ways with my learners but surprisingly, they visited me in my class room.
When I was given this class load, I was really hesitant at first because my teaching item is for Senior High School and I major in English during my college years but then I was given to handle this section, Grade 7 and to handle the subject Science.
It was indeed a challenge since Science is not my field of expertise and when I learned that I will be given the task, I really was not happy about it, but, I had no choice because that is normally how it works in the teaching system here in the Philippines, when you are a newly-hired, it seems to be a disrespect to refuse.
So fast forward, I accepted the challenge, I handled these children, My Grade 7 and I handled Science subject. I constantly studied since I admit I am not that good in Science, but I always made sure to be up to date with our lessons and learning has been so much fun with them.
They made my life easier since they were all so cooperative and they always had all their eyes and ears on me every time I had class discussions.
Since then, I learned to love Science and it was added in my daily to do list to always review my topics before I will discuss to them. It has always been my goal to be the best version for my learners.
They made me feel loved and they made me feel like a mother with just so many children. I love them all fairly. Being a teacher means being able to extend help and love to your learners.
I am so happy they visited me in my classroom and it was the perfect time that we bonded for a short while and took so many photos since these children had always been lovers of photography.
Hopefully we will still have a solid bond until they move to being Grade8, then 9,10,11 until they graduate. These learners are my first batch of learners on my first year of teaching in DEPED. They hold a special place in my heart indeed.
