Being a public school teacher means you must always be prepared and flexible. There are sudden tasks that needs to be done especially during weekends and it is never in our vocabulary to say no since we signed up for this. Even though it is a weekend, we had some errands we needed to do at school.
We got ready because we are invited to a birthday party at a famous resort here in Tuburan but as we were almost done preparing our things, we got an update from our work group chat that the diploma holders have arrived and we need to claim it as soon as possible to check if there are erasures and needs to be corrected the fastest way possible because the graduation rites ceremonies is fast approaching.
So without hesitations, we packed everything we needed, such as our extra clothes, our speaker, which will be borrowed by our fiend who is hosting the birthday celebration and so much more.
Ever since we had our mini van, we have a lot of things we always carry at the trunk such as our tent, camping chairs, camping table, portable foam, clothes and so much more. It feels like we are bringing our entire house with us. Since we are a fan of travels, we will never know where we will have a stopover and ensemble our tent and camping table and chairs. That is why we constantly bring it with us.
The house we rented is just a 5-minute drive going to my work place, Tuburan National High School. We then arrived here and we immediately went to the SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GUIDANCE OFFICE where the distribution of diploma holder is being done.
I arrived here and I saw my colleague who came a few minutes earlier than me. He is also a Grade12 class adviser and came here to claim the diploma holders of his class advisory.
The diploma holders are already sorted per section, mine is the GRADE 12 UNITY. Our goal here is to double check one by one if the following diploma holders have the correct photos inside and the names are correctly spelled also. We have to check it one by one.
Tuburan National High School's Diploma Holder looks like this on the outside. As seen, you can see the school logo, the SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL stated, the nme of the learner, section which is 12-UNITY and the School Year 2024-2025. We have to double check one by one that the spelling is correct.
Each corresponding diploma holder also has their individual photos, one we must make sure that the names on the diploma holder must match the photos inserted inside. I have 52 learners and I need to check it individually.
My son helped me out on my task so I can finish it as soon as possible because he is already excited to take a dip, look at him, wearing his rash guard, ready for a swim indeed.
My son did a great job on helping me out, made my work easier and much more convenient. After making sure everything was set, and I have all my learner's diploma holders 52/52, we then brought it into my classroom to have it ready for distribution soon, on their graduation rites ceremonies.
It was a productive noon. Working even on weekends. Good thing my son helped me out so I can finish my work faster. We then headed to the resort which is the venue for the birthday party we will be attending today, Ciao!❤️
