I knew my "daily" sketches wouldn't be followed every single day the moment I started it. XD I'm just at my 3rd day and the streak was already broken haha. But I don't punish myself nor feel bad about this because it's not a big deal for me yet I still want to commit myself into doing this everyday.
It's one of the things I really wanted to do in my daily life. I'm a very big overthinker and I want everything to be perfect and go with my plans. But obviously it doesn't just happen no matter how much we try. With this exercise (the daily sketches) I want to do something for myself that makes me feel good and accomplished and practice my art at the same time - but also if I didn't do it in a day then I won't feel disappointed about myself. It's been doing great so far even though I missed for 3 days. :D
One of the reasons why I broke my streak was that I got discouraged when I read the 3rd drawing to be "A cozy book nook" and I was like wtf is a book nook. I googled it and the results just doesn't make sense. A space you create in the middle of the books for a hidden world or whatever? Bruh. I ain't got no time to figure that out.
I also have to organize my room since my table wasn't enough anymore. I got a new pc and monitor so my Macbook and 24" pen display needed another table so I spent a day figuring out how to arrange them all without being "too much" for the one table and not to make the space tight as well. I figured it out in the end and got an "L" shaped workspace. <3
Next is I started taking isotretinoin recently and I was already feeling the side effects. I spent 1 day just literally sleeping maybe for 10+ hours and being so tired and had back and joint pains as well. Apart from those I also am experiencing dry lips and kinda dry skin despite the low dosage per day. This should only last a month tho so I should be good in the next few weeks.
So I googled what book nook is again and found another description that says it is a reading nook, a dedicated space where you can get really comfy while reading a book without it having to be necessarily a library type of space. I don't have that in the house so I found this on Pinterest and drew it.
I didn't wanna spend too much time on the shadows for the drawing although I wanted it to be more "loose sketch" next time. :D And my cute lil desk faces the window and I just realized I should have done this long ago. Now I can face the window even though I don't really have a nice view. :P
