Why screenshot it when you can just go to my wallet? Dunno I just want to have some pic lol
I started putting my HBD in savings when I found myself in a more stable situation and finding myself not needing to sell them. The APR is also really tempting considering I realized how shit banks are and how greedy they are and how anti poor they are.
Anyway, I've been loving my HBD savings increase over time. I'm still not a techy-financial-someone-who-likes-to-calculate-numbers despite being in crypto for 4 years so don't ask me about technicalities but yeah when I see numbers go up, then I win. lol. My HBD post rewards have consistently been saved for the past few months and I am proud of that!
Apart from Hive, I've been doing some investing on the side in both coin trading and NFT trading and I was able to convert some to USDC for long term savings. I can't count how much I've lost and I also don't want to since they're worth thousands of dollars already lol but the stress was worth it anyway. I've been thinking since the stables will just be in a wallet for long term, why not just put it in HBD where there's 20% APR?
After thorough thinking, I decided to put some in it. This will be a long term savings (like I mentioned many times already haha) but hopefully I won't be able to use it for short term and no emergencies happen you know?
Really happy for what I achieved so far considering we were never taught of financial things not even by my own parents and in school. And even though I've been living alone and been independent for almost a year now (and also some shopping impulses I need to stop :(), I still was able to have some savings. Not the traditional way (not like saving in a nasty bank or insuring yourself), but still a way and a cool way. (Yah everybody wants to be in crypto nowadays just cos now it's cool)
Was this a wise choice?
For sure it's better than putting it in disgusting banks where rich people use the cash to wank off.
But in all seriousness, I love seeing Hive's improvements and growth considering people are now looking for a new web3 social media platform.
The golden rule still applies: Never invest money that you can't afford to lose. Not financial advice, but this is where my savings will go!
