Life changing habits!!

This writeup is inspired by Stephen Covey's book " The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People"

I got familiar with this book when I was young. The ideas in the book were wonderful, and I loved them. I tried to apply a few in real-life situations.

I still remember a few from the seven habits!! Think win win, synergy, and principle centred approach.

My top favourites are " be proactive" and " sharpen the saw." I applied these as my life philosophy, and they created tremendous effects in my life!!

Be proactive, and it is all about controlling your reactions and being active about any issue beforehand. It's kind of pre planning in other words!!

Instead of re acting to the emerging situations, we are proactive about them .we already know what to do about it. So we solved them before they emerged on the surface!!

Here we have to exercise our choices. We have two choices, and we chose a proactive approach over a blunt and unplanned reaction, which can worsen the problem instead of solving it!!

Knowing that we have control over our circumstances and we can use that to alter the situation is a great and empowering blessing.!!

Then my next top favourite habit is the principle centred approach!! We all have a north star in our lives, a centre or focus around which our life revolves!!

According to the writer, the principal centred approach is the right approach as it is a guiding star in lives and shows us the right way of dealing with real life issues!!

We all should lead a life that should revolve around our core principles instead of money or material centred approach, which deteriorates our moral and spiritual lives!!

Last but not least of my top favourites are to sharpen the saw. Its an analogy that helps us understand the importance of sharpening our skills and renewing our resources.!

In short, these habits are worth adopting in our lives. As the whole world has actualized the power of these life changing habits. So, I recommend it for those who are still unaware of these powerhouse principles for leading a successful life!!
