Dam Straight! I have a story for those of you who didn't know me prior to Crypto and my expatriation.
I was a Navy Corpsman and LPN for 8 years before I decided I was over it. After a few years I thought I would give nursing and healthcare a second try. So I was hired at a local private hospital as a mental health tech while I pursued my RN.
After a few years I thought taking a job with the government once again was a good idea. So I applied for a nice paying position at the Veterans Administration and was hired on the spot. I thought, "the benefits are going to be great and regular hours would be amazing". I did not want a clinical position so I took an administrative one.
I went through indoctrination at the VA hospital and still thought I was making a good choice. After a few weeks I started my job at the VA. After the first day I literally went home and was in shock. WTF did I just do?
No one, absolutely no one should ever have to be subjected to government run healthcare. So I carried on for 3 weeks before I told my boss that I could not carry on working at the VA. I quit and thank goodness I stayed on at the private hospital on an as needed basis and went back to work there full time.
I just don't get why people want more government in their lives. It took experience for me to learn this but with the age of the internet and memes like this one I don't see how people can't see it.
