Hello, delightful community greetings. After a long time, I am posting here. To be honest, as you know I am a chai drinker and there are no special changes to my routine to post about chai. Occasionally we drink coffee when there is cake/dessert served.
Yesterday I made a pear cake and today wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee with it.
So in this post, I originally intended to share some different ways to relish afternoon coffee with pear cake. But as I proceeded it turned into something totally different. I ended up making coffee cream with cinnamon and applesauce- a new dessert creation instead of coffee and cake. So that is what I am sharing with you today.
Use instant coffee, sugar, and a metal strainer.
I mixed the sugar and instant coffee according to taste. First I started with 1 ts sugar:1 ts coffee. my husband liked it but he asked for stronger coffee so I used ** 2 coffee to 1 sugar.**
Adding warm water Dissolve it.
Using the strainer in a circular motion started whipping the coffee-sugar mixture.
It will be like this after 3-4 minutes. If you want to use a whisk it may turn out more fluffy. I had planned to add cashew milk to this mixture and make a new coffee recipe. But I changed my mind and did something else.
Earlier in the day I made some unsweetened applesauce from our garden harvest. After filling all available jars I still had 2 cups of applesauce left, so I figured why not try to use it here.
Took 3/4 cup of applesauce.
I poured the coffee cream into it.
Added two drops of vanilla essence.
A few drops of cashew cream/milk and 2 pinches of freshly ground cinnamon bark.
this is for my husband
And the big remaining portion for me.😉
We enjoyed this dessert-coffee cream and cinnamon in applesauce.
It was really delicious with cinnamon and cashew cream.
thank you.
