In this family account involving my daughter and grandson, I must mention that our original intention was to enjoy the seaside at one of the beaches along the coast of Puerto Cabello, in Carabobo State. We took a taxi from Universidad Avenue, opposite the square in Naguanagua. After paying the fare to the entrance of the resort, we arrived at nine o’clock in the morning. The air was crisp and the sun was radiant. The site is sheltered by shade trees, offering a very pleasant vista. I paid the admission for the three of us, and we entered to enjoy the novel site, where we counted five thermal pools of steaming water—the last of which consists of hot mud.

Luego de pagar las entradas de los tres, ingresamos al recinto, donde encontramos cinco piscinas de aguas termales; la última de ellas es de lodo caliente.

We then decided to head down to fulfil our objective of enjoying the hot springs. I first went to the changing rooms to get ready and spent some time in the sauna (or Turkish bath) to sweat out toxins. Upon leaving, I found Alejandro and his mother in the second pool.

Este viaje a las Aguas Termales de Trincheras no fue solo una escapada recreativa; fue un recordatorio de la inmensa riqueza natural que poseemos en Venezuela y de la importancia de fortalecer los vínculos familiares fuera del entorno digital y la monotonía del hogar. A veces, buscamos la inspiración en lugares remotos o situaciones extraordinarias, olvidando que a pocos kilómetros de nuestra ciudad existen oasis de paz que permiten una introspección profunda.
Contact with mineral-rich waters and the environment of the Coastal Range acts as a balm, not only for the physical body—relieving muscular tension and flushing out toxins—but also for the spirit. Seeing the joy in a grandson’s eyes and sharing serenity with a daughter in such majestic surroundings is, without doubt, the finest investment of time possible. Trincheras demonstrated to us that true "adventure" lies in the capacity for wonder at the simplicity of nature and the warmth of our people. We returned to Naguanagua with rested bodies, clear minds, and hearts full of memories that will endure far longer than any material possession.
El contacto con las aguas ricas en minerales y el entorno de la Cordillera de la Costa actúa como un bálsamo, no solo para el cuerpo físico —aliviando tensiones musculares y eliminando toxinas— sino también para el espíritu.
