Hello dear hive friends,
Good morning, Hive friends! I hope you're all doing well. Today, I'll be sharing with you a simple and delightful recipe for "Coconut Sambal," a versatile addition to any Sri Lankan meal. This dish is not only easy to prepare but has gained recognition as a sought-after delicacy even among foreigners. At the heart of coconut sambal is grated coconut, playing a crucial role in balancing spice levels and achieving the authentic taste and texture that makes sambal truly special. Join me as we delve into the essential elements and steps to create a mouth-watering coconut sambal.š“š„„

Required Ingredients...
š 2 cups of grated coconut.
š 1 teaspoons of crushed chili powder.
š 1 teaspoons of pepper powder.
š Salt as needed.
š A finely chopped onion.
š A chopped tomato.
š Curry leaves.
š 2 green chili pods or other .
š 3 or 4 cloves of garlic.
Method of making....
Traditional Sri Lankan kitchens often use a stone grinder to grind ingredients. If so, try that way. Or you can use a blender for that.
First, add the required amount of chili powder, salt, green chili, garlic, and onion to a stone grinder. (Alternatively, this process can be done with a blender. I used Kochi chilies instead of green chilies.)
Then grind it well.
Then add tomatoes, curry leaves, grated coconut to it and grind it well.
So, this delicious coconut sambal is ready. Enhance its flavor by adding some lime or lemon juice. Increase its bite by incorporating fresh coconut, chilies, curry leaves, and ripe tomatoes. It also serves as a refreshing side dish for bread, rice and rotis. Whether you're a seasoned cook or new to the kitchen, creating this beloved dish is sure to be a rewarding and delicious experience. Have a wonderful day filled with joy and culinary inspiration! š“š„„
